Questions, answered
What counts as a credit?
Each successful call to /v1/search uses 1 credit and each successful /v1/extract uses 2. Failed requests are free.
What happens when I run out?
The API returns 402 out_of_credits until your credits reset on the 1st of the month or you upgrade. We never bill overages automatically.
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes, from the dashboard's Plan & billing tab. Switching between paid plans takes effect right away and is prorated. If you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for, then move to Free.
How do payments work?
Checkout and card details are handled by Stripe. Card numbers never reach our servers. Invoices and card changes are in Manage billing on the dashboard.
Do you respect robots.txt?
Yes. /v1/extract checks each site's robots.txt and refuses pages that disallow automated access. We also block requests to private and internal networks.
Is there a free trial for paid plans?
The Free plan is the trial — 1,000 credits every month, no card needed.
